Trail Details & Logistics
Navigation: The trail officially begins near the Pirin National Park Information Boards in Betolovoto. Follow the highly visible yellow trail markers and standard park signposts all the way up. [, 2]
Terrain: The path runs parallel to the Suhodol River, utilizing a mix of a dedicated forest hiking path and sections of an unpaved forest dirt road. In warmer months, high-clearance vehicles can technically navigate the dirt road directly to the hut, but hiking the parallel forest path offers a better experience. [1, 2, 4]
Winter Notes: In winter, the steep forest singletrack can get very icy or obscured by deep snow. During these months, it is highly recommended to stay on the wider forest road rather than the singletrack shortcuts to maintain safe footing
